Co-ordinator for British Art Show Fringe, Sideshow (Current)

Co-ordinator for a unique city-wide event in Nottingham presenting a range of contemporary art exhibitions, ambitious new artwork commissions, site specific public projects, artists talks, performances, screenings and music events in the artist-led spaces, studios and empty buildings of the city. In October 2010, Sideshow will take place for the second time round supporting the prestigious British Art Show 7 for its nationwide launch in Nottingham this year. As well as promoting artist-led and alternative venues for presenting its events, Sideshow will also take place in some of Nottingham’s major art centres, museums and theatres.

Curator of The Reading Room (2007 – Ongoing)

Reading group and archive responsible for events to accompany contemporary art projects examining critical theory, art writing and unusual texts. Organisations worked with include City Gallery, Leiceister, Nottingham Contemporary, Bury St Edmunds Museum & Art Gallery, Spike Island in Bristol, The Event in Birmingham, Moot, Bonington Gallery, Broadway Cinema. The project also has its own bespoke artist’s library space and office within One Thoresby Street Studios in Nottingham www.onethoresbystreet.org.
